The Children and War Foundation (CAW) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving children’s lives after wars and disasters. The Foundation has developed psychosocial interventions that make it possible to help large groups of children with support that reduces psychological trauma symptoms after wars and disasters. ,
They develop and disseminate tools quickly after a traumatic event that help identify children at high risk of developing trauma symptoms, as well as effective psychological procedures for helping large numbers of traumatised children by teaching techniques to recover from trauma. They train local helpers to help children cope better; develop new and better ways of helping; produce training materials, manuals, and videos; and provide advice and guidance to non-professionals working with the support of children. CAW also promotes and engages in research.
CAW have developed methods and measures that enable us to reach out to large groups of children around the world.
