The ongoing tragedies in Palestine, Lebanon, Sudan, Yemen, and Syria — marked by genocide, displacement, apartheid, ecocide, and violence — are affecting thousands of lives, particularly those of children and women. The lives and well-being of these individuals are under constant threat and destruction. The suffering endured by the people in these countries is immeasurable and grows more intense each day. Despite these extreme circumstances, we remain steadfast in our support for the affected populations, recognising the critical importance of mental health and psychosocial support. We firmly believe that peace and justice will ultimately prevail.

Those with family, friends and kin in the affected areas, who search for information, and struggle to find ways to support and help their loved ones who are in constant danger and threat.

For those who feel helpless and ashamed of the limitations of their possible action, they may also be under severe stress and pressure, despite that they may live their lives in security and safety. And the thoughts and unrest may be a daily challenge, and even disrupt their daily lives. The ambition of MHHRI has been to provide information about mental health and psychosocial consequences of war, conflict, and human rights violations.

The aim is that the information may be useful for helpers, families and friends around the world, facing these enormous challenges.

But we also have information and resources that may be used by people directly as individuals, as well as in contact with groups or persons wanting to help and support. Due to this, we have put together relevant resources and ideas in Arabic that may be useful in severe times of stress and unrest. We have collected resources and tools in both English and Arabic. Please send us your comments and recommendations on other useful resources.
You can send them to the following email post@hhri.org
